Welcome Letter from Jacob, Founder of Kansas Run Club
Hey there!
First off, welcome to Kansas Run Club! I’m so excited that you’re here and that you’ve decided to join us for a run. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just getting started, KRC is about more than just hitting a certain pace or distance—it’s about building a community where you feel supported and where friendships grow, one step at a time.
When I first started this club, it was all about finding a group of people who wanted to get out, get moving, and—honestly—just not run alone anymore. I never imagined that we’d become the kind of group that could stretch for blocks, but the energy and the friendships have been contagious, and that’s something special.
It’s not about the run, though. KRC has always been about community. Running is simply the way we get there. Community has always been the goal. We’re as good as the people who show up, and the connections that are formed here are what truly make KRC what it is.
At KRC, everyone is welcome. It doesn’t matter if you’re running your first 5K or preparing for an ultramarathon—there’s a place for you here. This club is for anyone who’s new to town, looking to meet like-minded people, or just wanting to share a good time with others who get it. You’ll notice quickly that it’s not just about running; it’s about the people you meet, the connections you make, and the friendships you build along the way.
We’re so happy to have you as part of our crew. So grab your shoes, come ready to meet some amazing people, and get ready to see just how fun running can be when you have the right people beside you. I can’t wait to see you out there!
Cheers,
Jacob Bentzinger
